LEAD ME TO THE WELL.

IMG_8832.JPG

"Lead Me to the Well" is a song for our thirsting and weary souls. A song that is a prayer and plead to the Lord to lead us to the well, His well, where Living Water is found. May we never go back to those places of worry, doubt, fear, and insecurity. Instead may our souls come alive as we fall into the Father’s arms and hear Him whisper truths into us. May we stop running to empty pursuits to quench our thirst when only He can satisfy. May we taste and see that He is good and faithful and loves us dearly.

He tells us to come just as we are to Him. Broken, messy, and flawed. He meets us in the dirt and calls us beloved, chosen, and worthy. He turns our lament into dancing. My prayer for this song is that the Father will use it to remind our wandering souls where Living Water is truly found. May it become the song we sing out to the Father even when we are thirsting and hurting. May our souls come alive and dance again. That is my prayer for this song!

“The Samaritan woman said to Him, ‘You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?’ (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you Living Water. ‘Sir,’ the woman said, ‘you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this Living Water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and His livestock?’ Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’” (John 4:9-14)
